The Wayward Girls’ Book Club is a monthly book club based in the inner-north of Melbourne. We (generally) read novellas, short fiction, poetry and essays because who actually has the time to read a giant tome every month? We have jobs and research and dancing to do. We gather in the lounge/on the back porch of the Northcote Home for Wayward Girls. We encourage members from all walks of life, miscreants and deviants of all descriptions are especially welcome. Girlhood is optional. Wine and cheese are encouraged.
Things occasionally get witchy, and we might delve into dream circles. We operate under the guidance of Dr Felix, a crotchety, old, black cat.
